To use this feature on the desktop, users have to connect the mic with their computer or use the Mike enabled headphones. With this, the browser must give permission to use the mic for voice typing feature. If you have not given permission to the mic to the browser, then you will not be able to use this feature.

First of all, check whether the microphone in the device is working properly. Also, it is important to have good internet connectivity. It can be used only through Google Chrome. Therefore, it is necessary to have a Chrome browser installed on a personal computer.
For this, first, Open the Google Doc in the Chrome browser. After this, create a new document by clicking on the plus button or if you are already working on a document, then open it.
After that go to Tools option and click on Voice typing option in the drop menu here. Now the microphone box will appear on your screen. You can drag it anywhere on the screen according to your convenience.
Now, above the box of the MICROPHONE, you will see the option to choose the language, from here, select the language you want to type.
Also, by clicking on the microphone icon, he has to give permission to use the microphone. After this, now you can do typing by clicking on the microphone and speaking. If you want to change the language, then you can select the language by clicking on the down arrow of the Microphone.
